When a child with cancer needs a bone marrow transplant, they are admitted in an isolation room that becomes their home for weeks and even months.
They are not allowed to go out, those who visit them alone and are wearing protective masks and gowns so as to prevent the transmission of germs and everything that enters the room must be sterile. You can imagine how hard it is for any young boy or a girl.
Our transplant room project is expanding and recently we were working with the pediatric oncology department at Children’s Hospital Safra Sheba, where Larger Than Life Canada and its partners fully equipted a transplant room, that included all of the goodness – games, crafts and ways to pass time during the long isolation period.
The beautiful Ayala has undergone the transplant and we are sending our good thoughts for her and wishing her good luck and good health!
